Mid-Video post about my value

I’m behind in my coursework and taking Meredith’s suggestion in the video literally, pausing and providing my response as to Why Me and Why my programs not just music therapists in general.  Wasn’t sure where else to post this, so please excuse the new topic under week 5.

My response based on individual client relationships

Why are they coming to my program?

My personal ability to interact with both children and adults. 
I create a safe and fun environment for clients. 
They see how their children respond to me and how they trust me. 
I make it fun. 
I have insight into what it occurring that others may not have without MT training. 
Ability to work with many different people.

Why do families sacrifice time and  money to participate in my programs?

To see joy in their children.
To see progress on goals
To see generalization outside of the session

Why me?

I am someone with whom they feel safe and can trust their child with.
