Sprouting Melodies® is an award-winning early childhood music program and business package offered through Raising Harmony™.
It is the only early childhood music program created by music therapists and is offered through board certified music therapists who complete the training.
Sprouting Melodies® offers a distinctly different, research-based approach to infant and toddler music classes and an expanded opportunity for music therapists to enter the early childhood market.
Child-centered, family music experiences
Age-specific classes for infants, toddlers, siblings and preschoolers include songs, instruments and movement that encourage musical, social, physical, and emotional growth and learning.
Rather than a prescriptive curriculum, the program defines an “order of experiences” aimed at enhancing important skills such as organization, communication, and interaction. Music therapists who are trained in the program are also given many options for songs to use including:
- Bonding songs
- Social songs
- Gathering songs
- Transitional songs
With their expertise in music therapy and special training in early childhood development, Sprouting Melodies® Providers (SMPs) are uniquely qualified to cater to the needs of individual children within groups. SMPs also teach parents how music can strengthen bonds, engage cooperation and transform situations within the family.
