Welcome to our Raising Harmony™ Community and the Sprouting Melodies® Online Training. We are thrilled to have you join us! We will be journeying together for the next ten weeks as we discover and learn about how music therapists can make a very unique contribution to early childhood music experiences.
This homepage will welcome you each week and here you’ll find information that will help you throughout the course. Please print out the resources that follow and start your class binder! There will be lots of information to add over the next 10 weeks. Be sure to read through all of these introductory materials before you get into the videos.
At the end of these ten weeks you will be prepared to lead music experiences for young children and their caregivers that will support their overall growth and development based on the research and experience of your music therapy colleagues. In addition, you will be advancing the field of music therapy by offering a music therapy specific program for young children. So, let’s begin!
Each week, new content will be unlocked for you! Come right here to access the latest course information. All of the previous content will continue to be available to you throughout the 10 weeks. Each week you will find course content, assignments and links to the online forum. Contribute to the discusses as often as you can. That’s where the real learning happens! Even if you checked in early in the week, check in again to see what your colleagues are saying on the board and reply. By the end of the 10 weeks, you should know a lot about each other so jump on in!
