Musical development: singing; awareness- vocalizes to the music, trust- vocalizes to the pitch 50% of the time, independence – melodically babbles with the music, control-melodically vocalizes to familiar tunes, responsibility- sings/vocalizes in tempo to the song: playing instruments; awareness – turns towards the sound of the music, trust- plays to the beat of the music for 2-4 beats, independence – purposefully plays instrument, control- starts and stops to the music, responsibility- plays to the beat of the music, can play a simple sequence, moving; awareness- moves body to the music, trust- rhythmically moves body to the beat of the music, independence- rhythmically modes body parts to the beat of the music, claps hands, control- imitates movements as sung, for example clap hands, stomp feet, responsibility- imitates a simple sequence of movements within the context of a song, listening; awareness- will move or vocalize when music starts, trust- recognizes familiar melodies, independence- vocally matches pitches with in a song, control- stops to watch and actively listen to others during music, responsibility- takes turns when singing or playing instruments.
