Hello! I am Angie Carter. I have been providing music therapy for 15 years. I earned my Bachelors from Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio and soon after moved to Illinois. I intially worked in a clinic setting serving contracts in nursing homes, schools with adolescents with behavior disorders, early childhood and early intervention. I also was selected to work in the field of Hippotherapy and Equine Assisted Psycotherapy while providing music therapy with a variety of populations. Through all of these experiences, I learned that my true love is working with young children. Following the birth of our triplets 9 years ago, I began my private practice and have been working as a music therapist through Early Intervention. Over the past couple of years I have offered informal social groups from time to time. I am excited to provide a more recognized music group to the families in our community and meet the children where they are. After attending conference and meeting Beth (and Cindy Humphreys too) I was eager to take this course and learn from others.

Wow! It sounds like you have a lot of knowledge and experience to share, especially with raising triplets!

Angie, Do you know you can get credit for this course through Illinois Early Intervention? Please let us know if that would be helpful to you. We are already moving ahead in the process to get the time approved! How convenient is that? 🙂
