I’m in the middle of the powerpoint and stopped to contribute this to the forum. Again, I’m late to the party but I appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the discussion:
Why are parents coming to my program? Why choose me, a board certified music therapist?
(it looks like it’s all about me)
My ability to weave music into the learning environment
My understanding of the developmental needs of young children
My experience developing music strategies that support language, motor and social development
My love for music
My love for young children and fascination with their development
My creativity
My ability to include children with a variety of needs and skills into a meaningful shared music experience
My respect for and my ability to communicate with families
