I am a contract music therapist who lives in Cleveland, Texas but works out of Houston, Texas through an agency called Scoggins Therapies, Inc. My population is children through young adults with special needs. I drive 100-200+ miles a day to see these exceptional kiddos at their homes because I live so far out in the country it is very hard to find anyone who lives within a 20 mile radius of my home. I aspire to work through local school districts with the special needs programs and possibly start group sessions with children and their parents in my home town to allow bonding time and create a fun atmosphere for the families.
