[Jessica Malfa]

Hi! My name is Jessica Malfa and I am from Long Island, NY. I am currently in graduate school for music therapy at SUNY Fredonia. I completed my Bachelor’s degree at Marywood University in Scranton, PA and my internship at Stony Brook Medicine in Stony Brook, NY. My internship clinical work was mostly in adult psychiatry but I floated around to other units such as pediatrics and child psychiatry. One of my graduate school requirements is to take a “special studies” course of my choosing and I thought this course would be a great learning experience. Since most of my work has been with adults, I am excited to learn more about early childhood! I hope to learn how to just overall work better with infants and toddlers. Early childhood is pretty out of my comfort zone but I am hoping these 12 weeks will change that!
