[Mary Beth Gaines]

Hello everyone! My name is Mary Beth Gaines and I am currently living in Tuscaloosa, AL- though I graduated from the University of Iowa with my MT degree. I moved to Tuscaloosa to begin a private practice with the vision of working with several populations. Currently, I am involved in a music therapy program at an inpatient psychiatric unit that serves a geriatric group as well but I want to be able to being programs with children in the area. Most of my experience has been with adults, however, so I need some additional support to prepare! I am hoping that this curriculum and all the discussions can help me become more confident and more informed in my work with children and their caretakers. I’m also excited to see that there are some private practice MTs in this course! I’m sure I’ll gain so much music therapy wisdom from reading through all of your posts 🙂
