[Samantha Knapp]

Hi there! I’m Sam Knapp! I’ve been a music therapist for 5 years in a school for special needs students, including Autism, Down Syndrome, intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities. I live in Dover, Delaware and am a single mom to a 7 year old boy. I am one of approximately 20 music therapists in the state, and one of less than five working in school settings like mine.

I’ve been wanting to take this course for several years now and am so grateful that I am finally able to do so! I’m really looking forward to learning how to engage and work with the growing early childhood population in our schools. I’m also experiencing pretty severe burnout, so I’m excited to be able to interact with other music therapists and learn from them, as I don’t get that experience at all in my work.
