Music therapy students, interns, and professionals are invited to attend!

EVENT DESCRIPTION

We know that engaging in meaningful music experiences is a key component of music therapy sessions for both the music therapist and their client(s). Elizabeth will provide participants interactive opportunities to experience, learn, and analyze new song repertoire composed to specifically support developmental interventions.

Each song will be presented in a way that invites participants to sing and play along; explains how the songs were composed using specific, targeted musical elements; and encourages participant discussion on how the songs could be used and adapted in practice.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Course members will participate in and experience novel song repertoire composed specifically to support developmental interventions (CBMT BCD II.D.11).

  • Participants will identify specific elements of music used in compositions designed to support developmental interventions (CBMT BCD III.A.5).

1 CMTE credit is available for this event.
