I live in Southwest Florida, which is very diverse culturally. In Fort Myers where I live, there are many retirees, snowbirds from the mid-west, and a large Hispanic and African American communities. The inland areas are mostly agricultural and many folks whose family line goes back several generations of migrants from south Georgia and Alabama. But there is also a large community of migrant workers. This means that my music repertoire is also diverse and includes country, gospel to Spanish and rock and roll. When I began working with this agency, I had to learn a lot of gospel and Spanish music and that repertoire continues to expand.
