Most valuable take away from this week

Something that struck me this week was Elizabeth talking about the child’s self concept. I think that this is one of the most important items to remember at each stage of development, and meeting the child where they are and moving to the next level as they are ready. There is such a push for academic readiness, and this week’s material was a refresher that development is the focus. As music therapists we have the unique tools to help this happen in a very natural setting.
