my most valuable takeaway is learning what it is to have a developmentally appropriate practice, and understanding musical development in early childhood music therapy. I had learned the stages of development in developmental psych, and in music therapy and children classes, but reviewing this once again, and thinking about it as related to music is most helpful. I am grateful for the tips on what a red flag might be in just being aware of these developmental milestones, and what to watch for.
