5 words to describe Sprouting Melodies 2: Exploration, playful, energy, observation, movement
1. It’s ok that your baby is moving around
2. Allow your baby to explore in the music group
3. It’s ok for your baby to have more then 1 instrument at at time
4. Let your baby make their own musical choices
5. If your baby is holding an instrument they may not want to be held
Possible songs/session: Hello, Wiggle and Giggle (bonding), Can you see see see? (about me), Sit with me and shake (inst.),
March with me and my baby (mvt.), Goodbye, Thank you Very Much
I use maracas, hand drums and scarves at this age. Lynn Kliner has a great line of instruments for this age. I also use a lot of
Remo instruments.
